Provision
As you probably know, we are in a faith-based organization where all members raise their own support. We have to be at 100% support before we can go to the field. I trust God’s provision. But I find I must remind myself of that each day because if I don’t I can be tempted to worry. I tend to like to see how things are going to work out and then trust it will happen that way. Of course, that’s not trust in Him. That’s me making my own plans. God has called us to do this. I heard in church this weekend, “If you wait until you understand God to trust Him, then you’ll never trust Him.” His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. I don’t have to know when or how He’s going to work out these details, just that He is.
God is big and great….He’s Creator and Ruler of all. Nothing is impossible for Him. Nothing is even hard for Him. I, on the other hand, am limited, weak, and needy. I must trust Him to use us and to build our team of partners. What a privilege to be used by Him whether He uses someone to go or to send others. I want to serve God and I know He will bless that desire.
Please pray for us as our faith is tested and strengthened in this. Please pray for our relationship with Him to grow and for Him to be glorified. Please pray for Him to provide for our needs and raise up our partnership team. We have said to Him, “Here I am, send me.” Please pray for Him to send us and to guide our steps.
