Quote of the Week
Maybe the most any of us can expect from ourselves isn’t perfection but progress.

One Response to “Quote of the Week”

Well…I needed this quote…Every week before I go to orchestra I panic become queezy and well basically freak out. One because I am the only viola player and two because I want to play my part just right, note for note. The entire practice I am sweaty and, well, nervous. Tonight after rehearsal, I almost cried because of my lack of “perfection.” Then I realized…I don’t have to be perfect!!! I am just involved in this ministry to praise God and have fun! STOP TRYING TO BE PERFECT MYA!!! It’s what I said to myself all the way home…It’s a useless attempt. I will never be perfect…not at viola or any other aspect in my life…so this week instead of perfection I will strive for progress…Maybe if I stop trying to be perfect, stop relying on my flesh for perfection, and rely on the Holy Spirit to perfect my faults and change me, I will be able to really progress in what God has in store for me…and maybe, just maybe, I’ll be a more relaxed and effective viola player
