New Project
My friend, Angela, came over the other night. She’s a fellow cross-stitcher so she showed me her work (very nice!) and I showed her mine. She took a look at the front of the one I did as a gift for our Tanzanian host family and said my stitches were nice and clean. (Yay!)
Here’s the picture of it. I have yet to clean and iron it but I’ll go ahead and post it now anyway. The next time you see it will be when we give it to our gracious hosts in Africa.

Then she looked at the back of my piece of craft/art and…gasped… Apparently the back of your work should be as neat as the front. I have a ways to go on that…

I started a new project. It’s a gift for Jonathan (that’s a hint to what it is). I’ll post pictures as I make progress since that’s the most fun of cross-stitching anyway – seeing it come together…

Here’s the back. A quick student I am…

Any guesses yet on what I’m stitching? I haven’t given you much to go on. Hee hee…

Hmm…could be a lesson in that about the way we live our Christian life showing the nice front and hiding the messy back.

Oh no. Ha ha… I hope we don’t do that! I was thinking about how the end of a project really wasn’t the best part but the progress through it – seeing it take shape is what makes it so much fun… that could be a lesson on how life’s about the journey and sanctification is a process – instead of just looking to reach the end of each… And about the back and front thing. That could show how our lives look to us sometimes (the back) compared to God’s overall plan (the front). So many things we can learn from cross-stitch… LOL.
